ABOUT THE RACE

We Run Prague is the culmination of the running season. Yet the preparation for it alone is something that will enrich you. Train with us and gain more confidence and get correct habits. While registering for We Run Prague, you can also set up your own starting team, invite your friends and thus increase your power and your joy.

As a race participant you will get your own starting T-shirt, which we will overprint with the words of your personal challenge and your number in the race. What do you want to achieve? To be the King of the rankings like Petra Kvitová? To stop all opponents, like Barbora Špotáková? Write on this T-shirt who you are and what your motivation is.

This year belongs to you and to your objectives.

You can run as an individual with your own challenge on your T-shirt.

Or you can invite your friends to register and create a team together with them.

Registration fee at the start is 390 CZK per person. ISIC card holders will pay only 300 CZK.

When you complete your registration and pay the starting fee, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a bar code, which must be submitted when you collect the starting set.

Teams can pay the starting fee individually - each team member can make the payment when submitting the invitation. Or it can be paid as a joint registration when one of the runners registers all the team members at the same time and also provides the payment.

Give your best to the run and we will take care that your friends on Facebook will know that you are running with us. At the moment you leave the starting line the message will say that “I have started to run in the We Run Prague race” and at the moment you go through the finish line, it will say “I have finished the We Run Prague race”.

STARTING SET

Starting sets will be distributed one week before the race.

The starting set includes your T-shirt with your personal challenge and a one-time chip with the logo of the race.

When you complete your registration and pay the starting fee of 390 CZK (300 CZK if you use the ISIC card), you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a barcode, which must be submitted when you collect your starting set.

RUNNERS T-SHIRTS

The runner’s T-shirt also serves as a starting number in the race. Perforated printing not only highlights your number, but also your personal challenge, which you or your friends will choose.

The 2012 We Run Prague race will start on September 1, 2012 in Žluté lázně (Yellow Spa). The race will be going through the historic centre of Prague and back to the Yellow Spa, where the We Run Prague Party will be prepared for the race participants and their friends. A timekeeping device provided by the company ChampionChip will be placed at the start and finish line. An intermediate time will be available at the fifth kilometer.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshment stations will be located on both sides of Na Příkopě Street, other stations will be located at the waterfront under the Jirásek Bridge and the last station will be at the finish line. The runners will be offered Rajec natural water in cups and plastic bottles. Refreshment stations have several distribution points and can be used throughout their entire length.

EMERGENCY SERVICE

The Prague Emergency Service, which is an official sponsor of the race, will be looking after your well-being throughout the entire race. The service will be available at the start and finish line and along the route. The health care workers will be stationed along the route approximately every 500 m.

RESULTS

Immediately when you finish the run, you will get the results by an SMS message which will be sent to the mobile telephone number you will provide during registration. The results will also be available after the race on our website.

PHOTOS FROM THE RACE

Every runner will have an opportunity to be photographed during the race. Using the chip, the photos will be placed next to your name on the website and thus will be available without searching.

Žluté lázně will provide you with a cloakroom and storage area, where you will be able to change your clothes and store your personal belongings during the race. This service will be available from 9 AM until 8 PM.

All runners who will pay the starting fee will be able to take advantage of a 20% discount on regularly priced products from the Nike collection in the following retail stores all the way until September 30, 2012. All you need is to have a printed receipt with your barcode.

To get to the area of Žluté lázně during the day of the race, we recommend that you use the municipal public transport system.

The entrance to Žluté lázně is near the Dvorce tram stop.

You will get to this station by tram number 3, 17 and 21, or by bus number 118 and 124.

Tram operation will be partially limited only during the actual race between 1:30 PM and 4 PM.

In case that you trave to the race in your car, we recommend that you park the car in the more distant sections of Prague. There will be no opportunity for parking in the immediate vicinity of Žluté lázně.

THESE TERMS APPLY TO THE 2012 WE RUN PRAGUE RACE, WHICH SHALL TAKE PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 1 IN PRAGUE

ARTICLE 1 EFFECTIVE AREA – VALIDITY

These rules govern the legal relationship between participant and organizer. Terms which shall be valid at the time of the participant’s registration become part of the contract between the organizer and participant. There may be occasional changes in the content. Any changes shall be published on the race website – www.werunprague.cz.

 

ARTICLE 2 PARTICIPATION RULES – SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The race can be joined by any person. Any sports equipment that could be hazardous to participants or spectators shall be allowed only with the express consent of the race organizer. Participants shall be informed of all organizational measures before the race starts. Participants shall be required to obey any instructions from the race organizer. Organizer shall have the right to exclude or disqualify any participant whose behaviour could endanger the safety of the race or the safety of other participants. A legally binding statement against the participant may be expressed only by a qualified group of persons designated by the organizer. Part of this group of qualified persons are members of the medical team that provides assistance during the specific  race and  who have the right to forbid the racer to participate or to continue in participating in the interest of protecting the participant because of  a justified  concern for his or her health.

  

ARTICLE 3 REGISTRATION – PERSONAL CHALLENGE – REGISTRATION FEE – PAYMENT TERMS – REFUND OF THE FEES

Registration can be done through on-line registration by completing the corresponding website application on the Internet, either by registering as an individual who may or may not invite friends into the team, or who simply registers as a team. Team registration is done by one person who has the right to register other team members, including provision of their personal data, etc. Runners who join the team which was formed by an individual on the basis of invitations must complete their registration themselves, including payment of the registration fee. Other registration shall not be accepted.

The organizer reserves the right to change the participant's personal challenge, especially if the original challenge is offensive, humiliating, is not related to the theme of the race, is of advertising nature, cannot be printed on starting T-shirt and so on. All participants must be appropriately dressed for the race and must visibly wear the starting T- shirt with their own motto and number, which they must collect at the specified time.

Payment can only be made by non-cash payment (bank transfer) or credit card. On-line registration on the Internet shall be accepted only if the payment is made by credit card, such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, American Express and JCB.

Registration which was made ​​without simultaneous payment by credit card or without the payment of theregistration fee shall not be accepted. It is not possible to make payment by cash.

The right to participate is on individual, respectively team basis and it is not transferable. Starting numbers are not transferable.

A registered participant or team thatshall not participate in the race, whether or not they have informed the organizer of their withdrawal from the race, cannot demand the refund of the organizational fee.

Registration fee shall be refunded only if the entire race is cancelled. The organizer shall set the organizational limit (number of participants and /or the closing date for registration), which will be listed on the event website - www.werunprague.cz. Registrations made ​​after this limit is reached shall not be accepted.

 

ARTICLE 4 DECLARATION ON THE RELEASE OF LIABILITY

The organizer has the right to change or cancel the scheduled program or race due to natural disasters, for security reasons or if it is required by official regulations. In such cases the organizer shall not be obliged to compensate participants for any damages.

The organizer shall not be responsible for any damage to property or financial damages not caused by the organizer’s gross negligence.

The organizer shall not be responsible for the participants’ health in connection with their participation in the race. It is the responsibility of each participant to have their health checked before the race and to read all information provided by the organizer, in particular the information published on the race website.

The organizer shall not be responsible for technical problems of any kind which would be associated with the proper execution or registration or with the payment of the registration fee.

 

ARTICLE 5 DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

Pursuant to Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the protection of personal data and Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, by completing the registration for the race the participant gives his free consent for the processing of his personal data to NIKE Czech s.r.o., with its registered office at Praha 4, Chodov, V Parku 2294/2, Postal Code 148 00, ID No. 248 45 736 and to Revolta s.r.o., with its registered office at Praha 7, Holešovice, Dukelských hrdinů 972/20, Postal Code 170 00, ID No. 271 67 518, as the administrators of personal data, in order to evaluate the race and to send information about the event, including other events organized by the organizer, all for an indefinite period of time. Further, such personal data may also be used for statistical purposes and may be forwarded to the Czech Athletic Association. Such personal data shall not be published. The participant is aware that he has the right to access his personal data and has other rights according to Section 11 and 21 of Act. No. 101/2000 Coll. The participant provides his consent voluntarily and may withdraw the consent at any time at the administrator’s address. The participant agrees that his personal data may be used for the purpose of providing health care in connection with the race.

The participant expressly agrees that in accordance with Act. No. 101/2000 Coll., Act. No. 40/1964 Coll., the Civil Code and Act No. 513/1991 Coll., the Commercial Code, the sponsor and organizer shall have the right to freely use the participant’s personal data in the media (including the Internet), in the sponsor’s promotional and advertising materials, including the collection and publishing of audio and video records of participants in the race as described above, all for ten years after the end of the race.

In addition to that, the sponsor and organizer shall have the right to forward personal data to the authorized person who measures the time during the race and evaluates the results of the race and to send the participants’ photographs taken during the race to these participants.

 

ARTICLE 6 TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

By registering in the race, the participant confirms the following:

The participant declares that he is a person over the age of 18 years or that he has the consent of his legal guardian and is aware of the risks consisting in the danger of damage or damage to his health incurred during the participation in the above event. The participant further declares that he shall join the event voluntarily and agrees to abide by these terms for participation.

The participant to the event confirms that he knows he can participate only on the condition that he will not use any narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, including medications which have the same or similar effects. The participant further confirms that his health condition corresponds to the difficulty of the event and is able to participate in the race without endangering his health.

The participant in the event must follow all instructions from the organizer and instructions from other persons who cooperate with the organizer during the course of this event.

The participant in the event must attend all training sessions or briefings provided by the organizer for the purposes of ensuring safety during the event or for other purposes at the organizer’s discretion.

The participant is aware and agrees that the event program and any changes to it are at the organizer’s sole discretion.

The participant is aware that the event organizer or the persons who shall cooperate with the organizer during the event shall not be liable for any damages or injury to the participant's and other persons’ health and property caused by a breach of the participant’s obligations under these terms.

The participant is aware of the responsibility he has for the damage to his and other persons’ health and property caused by the breach of his obligations under these terms.

The participant must cover all damages caused to himself, to other participants in the event, to the organizer or persons working with the organizer and must cover them in full extent and at his own expense.

 

ARTICLE 7 Registration extension

Registration for the We Run Prague race has been extended till 27th July 2012 by the organizer. On this date the possibility of registration will be terminated and all uncompleted and unpaid registrations will be deleted. From 15th July it will no longer be possible to pay the starting fee by bank transfer and will have to be paid by credit card. From 15th July till the termination of registrations on 27th July 2012 it will not be possible to edit the data in completed registrations in any way.

RULES OF THE ACCOMPANYING WE RUN PRAGUE CONTEST

These rules completely and clearly regulate the accompanying We Run Prague contest for personal participation in the Tel Aviv Nike Night Run and annual product support by Nike valued at 220 000 CZK (hereinafter referred to as the “contest”) and are the only document that fully regulates the rules of the contest and this document is binding.

 

1. Contest sponsor

The contest is sponsored by Revolta s.r.o., Dukelských hrdinů 972/20, Praha 7, 170 00, ID No.  271 67 518 (hereinafter referred to as the “sponsor”)

2. Contest date and place

The contest will take place during the We Run Prague race, which will be organized in the streets of Prague on September 1, 2012 (hereinafter referred to as the “We Run Prague”).

3. Contest participants

Every properly registered participant in the We Run Prague race, who has met the terms of the contest, can participate in the contest (hereinafter referred to as the “participant” or “contestant”).

4. Prizes

The main prize in the category of individuals is the participation in the Tel Aviv Nike Night Run, which will take place in the streets of Tel Aviv on October 30, 2012.

The main prize in the category of teams is the annual product support by Nike valued at 100 000 CZK.

The first three prizes in the men‘s category:

      1st Prize – a product support valued at 30 000 CZK

      2nd Prize – a product support valued at 20 000 CZK

      3rd Prize – a product support valued at 10 000 CZK

The first three prizes in the women‘s category:

      1st Prize – a product support valued at 30 000 CZK

      2nd Prize – a product support valued at 20 000 CZK

      3rd Prize – a product support valued at 10 000 CZK

5. Contest principle and terms

The contest is open to all contestants who were duly registered in the We Run Prague race and who in conformity with the rules of the We Run Prague race ran all the way to the finish line and their time has been measured.

Contestants may participate in the contest as individuals or as members of a registered competing team which consists of any number of participants (two or more) who have been registered in the We Run Prague race (hereinafter referred to as the “competitive team”).

The main prize in the category of individuals will be won by the contestant who will be drawn after the race from all the participants who have reached the We Run Prague finish line within the prescribed time. Winning the main prize is subject to the inclusion of the participant in the official race results of the We Run Prague race and personal participation during the drawing of the main prize at the We Run After-Party. In the event that the winner of the draw would not be able to meet the conditions for granting of the main prize, then a substitute winner will be drawn.

The main prize in the category of teams will be won by the team whose members will have the lowest average time during the run.

The prizes in the category of men and women will be won by the contestants who will occupy the first three positions in their relevant category.

All the participants in the contest who do not win the main prize, whether it may be in the category of individuals or competing teams, will be entitled to the guaranteed 20% discount in the selected Nike Only Stores. This discount will be valid until September 30, 2012.

6. Delivery of prizes

Coupons for all prizes will be handed out during the announcement of results, which will take place within the premises of Žluté lázně (Yellow Spa) in Prague on September 1, 2012.

The prizes cannot be paid in cash. Participation in the contest for the prize cannot be demanded legally or otherwise. In the event the winner does not collect the prize during the announcement of results on the day of the contest, then the contestant loses the right to the prize and the prize will be for forfeited to the sponsor, without the winner being entitled to any compensation from the sponsor.

7. Personal data and protection of personality

In conformity with Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the protection of personal information and Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, by claiming the prize the participant provides a free permission to process his personal information to Revolta s.r.o., ID No. 271 67 518, with its registered office at Dukelských hrdinů 972/20, Praha 7, 170 00, and NIKE Czech s.r.o., ID No. 248 45 736, with the seat of its business at V Parku 2294/2, 148 00 Praha 4, Czech Republic, as the administrators of personal data, in order to evaluate the contest and all of that for an indefinite period of time. The participant is aware that he has the right to access his personal data and that he has other rights according to Sections 11 and 21 of Act No. 101/2000, Coll. The participant provides his consent voluntarily and has the right to revoke his consent anytime and at no charge at the administrator’s address.

8. Miscellaneous provisions

By participating in the contest, each contestant expresses his unconditional acceptance of its rules and agrees to comply with these rules. Persons involved in the preparation of this contest are not allowed to participate in it.

Persons who do not meet the conditions for participating in the contest or who are acting contrary to the rules of this contest will not be allowed to participate in it, or may be disqualified. In the event it turns out that such person has become a winner spite of these facts, then such person will not receive the prize.

The participant will be disqualified from the contest in the event the sponsor finds, or would have a reasonable suspicion of fraudulent or dishonest conduct by one of the participants or persons who have helped such participant to win the prize, or if the participant’s conduct is not fair and is not based on the contestant’s skill according to the contest rules.

9. Sponsor’s rights and obligations

The sponsor decides with final validity about all disputed issues relating to the contest.

The sponsor reserves the right to amend or to modify the contest rules or to change or cancel the contest without providing any reasons and without providing a substitute contest. Such a decision will be effective on the date of its publication on www.werunprague.cz.
